Eddie Izzard and coins
On saturday i found out the dates and prices for Eddie Izzard's New Zealand shows, and the Wellington date works out perfectly for me! It's on the 12th of August 2003, which means I can go as I'm not planning on leaving for London until Jan/Feb of next year at the earliest. I've also managed to talk 2 of my friends into coming with me so far, which means I defintly won't have to risk not having anyone to go to it with :) Though I'm not entirly sure we'll get a large enough number of people to qualify for the group discount.

All of a sudden, I've been getting Britsh coins in change instead of New Zealand coins. Which is rather odd, but i'm taking as a good sign espically given the exchange rate. (One NZ dollar is worth between 2.70 and 3 pounds, depending on the exchange rate at the time). It isn't uncommon to accidently get a few Australian coins or a coin from one of the pacfic islands every now and then, but I've been an truely abnormal number of 1 pound coins recently. Seeing as I've been getting them instead of 1 dollar coins, I'm not going to complain as they're going to rather use in less than a years time :)

I've been trying to work out how much money I need before I leave for the UK. It's going to be quite a bit unfortuntly, espically how much I'll need just to open a English bank account! :(

Still I've heard that Eddie Izzard is coming to NZ on tour sometime soonish, which I'm rather looking forward to ;) So long as I don't end up missing both his English & NZ because of bad timing on my part in my move......

Adding People
I'm beginning to find it a little odd not having any personal journals on my friends list, as my other lj has quite a few! (I'm not actively adding or telling any of the people on that journal about this one for a while, even though I know a number of those people in rl).

Anyway, I've decided that I'm going to more or less randomly add a few people based on intertests - mainly Eddie Izzard, Kenneth Brannagh and possibly London..... So I'm hoping no one is too surprised to suddenly find themselves friended out the blue like this :)

Getting off my butt
I think this little venture online is proving to me that I'm going to have to have start taking all of this a lot more seriously and put a lot more effort into it! I've spent the last few months getting completly debt free, so I no longer have any credit cards (from 3 with a 1000 dollar limit each) and my 750 dollar overdraft is now gone. (I'm going to be getting a new credit card, with my new British bank account hopefully).

But I haven't even arranged some new icons for this journal yet, (I already have afew for the journals I have around, but want to make a couple of new ones). And nothing has happened on my webpage to go with this journal etc yet. But I suppose if this makes me actually start actively sorting stuff out for my move to London a lot sooner than I would have otherwise I hope it means I'll better able to deal with stuff in the first few months I'm there.

First Post!
Seeing as I'm going to be adding communties etc to my friends list, I thought I better start off with a post. Espically I'm sure I'm going to come across some intertesting people along the way and add them as well :)

Anyway, I'm currently in the very early stages of moving to the UK - at the moment I'm thinking London, but that can change though I'm sure I'm going to be stayign there for at least a couple of months to begin with. I currently live in Wellington, New Zealand and have lived here since a month before my 18 birthday. (Which is over 12 years now :).

Apart from living in Auckland, with my parents, for about 16 years before that this is the longest I've spent in one place and I'm getting tired of Wellington. Not that I hate Wellington, or New Zealand for that matter, I'm just boried with living here. I've gotten to the point that I've been comparing things in Wellington, to how I remeber things being in London from my last visit there. (Mainly shops and the transport system admittly :)

I guess I've currently gotten a major case of itchy feet again and want to move on somewhere else. London being my favourite city out of the places I went in my last two overseas trips. I also have a grandfather who was born in England, so I can till easily get permant residence in the UK, unfortuntly I can't get a English passport until I've lived there for at least 5 years but still....

I guess I could say overall, that I want a change - I *need* a change.
